This is not your usual Faire – It is actually 7 festivals in one with more than 60 acres of lavender on 7 farms, more than 80,000 lavender plants in the ground, 200,000 lavender plants for sale, plus crafts, food, beverages, music, workshops, demonstrations, and more. The Sequim Lavender Farm Faire is the premier lavender festival event in North America.The county-wide Faire includes the Lavender Farm Tour featuring the stunning and iconic destination Sequim lavender farms. Lavender in the Park, our main Sequim festival location, at Carrie Blake Park, becomes yourfree family-friendly central source for all things lavender – all weekend long. Lavender and Spittlebugs!

What is that white foamy stuff on my plants??Spittle bugs will appear in early spring on your lavender plants and are detected by the white foamy spittle, which is emitted as camouflage! Your plants may appear unsightly but the damage is minimal. Damage may result in twisting or deformation of the leaves and stems. Washing the spittle bugs off the lavender plants may only be a temporary solution, and could result in too much moisture in and around your lavender plant.
We don't worry about them in our fields, because as the weather warms the spittle bugs will disappear before the flowers bloom.So relax about the white foamy stuff and look forward to the lavender season to come!

Spring is really working it's magic out here! Our lavender fields are greening up nicely,the weeding requires much persistence, and the mowing is every few days!
