Edible Spring!

It's a beautiful spring day here at Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm.

The sun is playing hide and seek, and our spring blooms are turning up everywhere!  I started thinking about how many of them are edible, and prepared ourselves plate! Have you ever enjoyed a salad with edible flowers fresh from your garden? Some are peppery, some are sweet, others, like Jardin du Soleil's culinary lavender, are very herbal in flavor.  Spring flowers can bring beauty and flavor to any table, but remember to only eat flowers that you are positive are edible.

And also, edible flowers are only safe to eat when organically grown, and free from pesticides.
