Jardin du Soleil is a certified organic lavender farm, cradled in the rainshadow of Washington State's Olympic Mountains. The farm is located on the Olympic Peninsula four miles north of "sunny" Sequim, Washington. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of protected wildlife, the farm was planted in 1999 on land that was part of a dairy farm established in the 1880's. Victorian gardens, ponds, fruit trees and lavender fields encompass the landscape with the Strait of Juan de Fuca beyond. Thousands of lavender plants on 10+ acres create a wonderfully fragrant vista at the farm.
State-of-the-art lavender oil distillation provides the quality certified organic lavender essential oil used to produce unique and beautiful lavender products for the bath and body, the home and the garden: lavender candles, lavender sachets, bulk dried lavender and lavender soap. Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm invites you to an experience that will delight the senses!
The farm and gardens are open daily throughout the summer; the plants are in bloom from the end of June through August, with harvesting starting in July. Pick your own lavender bouquets or take home some of these aromatic plants. Our farm's retail store and website offer those distinctive lavender products and gifts that enhance your life and home. And don't forget to mark your calendar for the Annual Lavender Festival the 3rd weekend in July, or any of our special events held at the farm.

In 2011 after leaving the corporate life in Santa Barbara, California. The Schiefens packed into their 26 foot trailer "Mimi" with their two kids (1yo and 4yo at the time) and set out to find the next adventure in life. Six months on the road, 34 States, and countless miles later the Schiefens pulled into a little corner of the Pacific Northwest, a town they couldn't even pronounce.
After exploring the charming town for a couple of days they heard that one of the local iconic lavender farms was up for sale. They decided to drive a short way on the Dungeness Scenic Loop to see the farm for themselves. When they stepped onto the fertile soil and smelled the clean air, they knew they were home. An offer was made and after 15 days, Jardin du Soleil became the Schiefens new adventure.
Paul and Jordan Schiefen invite you to experience lavender at Jardin du Soleil. Enjoy our lavender farm's fields and gardens, and partake in the pastoral beauty of the Olympic Peninsula, while soothing your soul and stimulating your senses. The magic of Jardin du Soleil will ensure that your visit is one that you will look forward to repeating.
